Insulation extrusion board is a commonly used insulation material, mainly made of polystyrene, which is a kind of polymer material. This kind of board has good thermal insulation performance and can be used in the external wall of the building, and has certain waterproof and moisture-proof performance.
Extruded panels are classified as B1 and B2. B1 grade extruded panels are a type of panels with high fire resistance, and a honeycomb structure is formed during the production process, hence the name extruded panels. This closed-cell structure gives it good thermal insulation properties and is particularly suitable for exterior wall insulation and cold storage interior wall use.
For the exterior wall extrusion board, the flame retardancy requirement is higher, you need to choose B1 grade extrusion board. There are several ways how to distinguish B1 grade extruded plastic board:
- B1 grade extruded plastic panels ignite and extinguish themselves within three seconds after leaving the fire source;
- B2 grade extruded plastic board burns slower, and the effect is visible in comparison with ordinary boards;
- B1 grade extruded plastic board left the fire source automatically extinguished, or extinguished within 10 seconds; B2 grade extruded plastic board ignited the fire will not expand, the droplets will not ignite the filter paper.
